If you missed it last night, MSNBC gave its viewers a double stunner from Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. First, Olbermann revealed his father might be finally losing his battle with the infections from his myriad illnesses - and acknowledged families go through the same pain every day with no safety net. It provided the springboard for this Special Comment.
Rachel then immediately took the GOP's argument against reconciliation (and their false accusations of Democrats invoking "the nuclear option") and threw it right back into their front yard. Brilliantly.
Jesus, Hoff. This video just breaks my heart. I've got similar stories with the death of my mom and dad and I thought I had tucked it all away. These scenes between adult children and their dying parents just rip your heart out. Sad. Real sad.
