Are You Happy About Chicago Not Getting the Olympics?

While I would have been happy for Chicago, I'm happy for Rio. It's about time that South America got an olympics, and Rio is a great party city. It's not all about America.

I am thrilled for Rio for all the reasons they brought forth to win the location - but I would have been thrilled for Chicago, as well. What I don't understand is the lack of understanding on the part of the Republicans that there will be a backlash to all of this hatred. Wrapping yourself in an American flag and then taking shots at Americans is gonna come back at ya!

I'm sure hearing the Chicago-bashing the idiots did didn't help boost Chicago in the eyes of the Olympic committee. Rio, and more generally Brazil, certainly did a total makeover and worked their asses off for this.

All Americans did was shoulder-shrug and root against it. No wonder we lost.
