Today, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer becomes the largest American newspaper to cease printing and go all-digital.
Bittersweet for me, I was a paperboy back in the 60's along with my two brothers. I always preferred it to the Times probably 'cause I hate the right leaning editorials there.
This paper could have been saved but not in this climate. Hearst wanted its properties to make 20% profit, something only tabloid garbage can do. The PI couldn't make the cut so it dies today.
Death by corporate indifference.
