Joe Lieberman. I really don't care about this flyweight. So they're letting him keep his Homeland Security post. Fine. That'll last until Connecticut has the good sense to vote him out of an office he never should have won the last time. So welcome back to the fold, you little turncoat. And here's hoping your home state has a long memory.
Besides...Obama's not afraid to take this nebbish into the corner for a good spanking. He's done it before. It'll be kinda fun.
well, I'm a little tired of orchestrating my anger but I think it stinks. the timing sucks and it's freaking Joe Lieberman bumming my trip yet again. just when you'd like to see dems standing tall in the shadow their throwing their overcoat in the mud puddle again and for that little tree stump of a man.
this is the man who couldn't believe Clinton's weiner should be able to stay in office and that Bush's whole contraption stay in that secret place where it seems so comfortable.
I'm with Rachel Maddow on this one. just as the mood couldn't strike him to look into any wrong doing of the Bushies don't you think that mood will pass? I do. those things of substance that WOULDN'T be investigated are now very likely to be replaced by chickenshit that will DEMAND investigation. why do I think this? Joe's spent an absurd amount of his time saying dems can't be trusted. well, the one thing that they can seem to be trusted with is covering his scurvy little butt. why?

Why CFB? AIPAC is probably one big reason why.
Wish I could be as complacent as Hoff is about Lieberman keeping this chair. Holy Joe's not up for re-election until 2012.

Uhuh. Remember this when he start investigating the President-Elect everytime he breathes in the wrong direction after January 20th.

This is NOT about Joe; we know who and what he is.
It's about Reid and the collective suicidal instinct among Democrats.
Each one of these "bricks" builds the house of horrors we live in.

well I've saved some choice bile for Joe. did you see him today? all those bad mean lefties mis-represented him!! he never said anything bad! all those you tubes of him talking shit must have been staged!!
what a weasel. dem leadership cares more about Joe and his reality challenged FOX News horse shit than they care about people who complain about him - pure and simple.
back to the kiddie's table until it's fundraising season again! keep it down children, the grown ups are busy!!!

and you know if mcfraud had won then he either would have gotten a cabinet post (Sec. of State..?) or stayed in the Senate to skull f..k reid, pelosi or any dem that pissed him, johnny or caribou b off...talk about a piece of shiite that has nine lives....!

The Dems aren't sweeping into office with great macho, what with Obama considering Repubs for his cabinet and the party giving Lieberman no grief for his traitorous behavior. Let's just stick a Repub sign on the guy and kick him out of any positions of power he may hold. How many Dems did Bush put on his cabinet or anywhere else in his administration?
Posted by: Lemastre | Nov 18, 2008 at 01:17 PM
who demanded it?
"centrism" is being DEMANDED of people who seemingly get paid good money to make demands.
meanwhile NEWSWEEK warns Obama of "appeasing" opponents of torture and tells us that some people think he's the Anti-Christ!!
I just saw newt flapping his jowls about "fascist gays" will somebody please tell him he needs to appeal to the center? did anybody make a peep when "The Hammer" was in full swing?
people who eat with their mouths open are DEMANDING that others sit up straight and poke out our pinkies when WE eat. why do the democrats CARE about those clowns?

Finally. A well-reasoned summary of the Lieberman tempest in a teapot. He's not worthy of a public reprimand -- nor of all the silly hand-wringing that's been going on since November 5th. I'm with you; let the Connecticut voters decide. (Of course, they did blow it the last time around.)
Posted by: Paul Nelson | Nov 18, 2008 at 02:55 PM
Sadly, the next time CT voters get to decide is 2012. I don't want to waste lots of energy on this either but I am not happy. Dems may once again have shot themselves in the proverbial foot by allowing this self-centered turncoat to retain his chairs AND subpeona power over an Obama administration, but maybe we really can count on his weasely craving for self-preservation to realize that if he chews on the hand that has just fed him, he could be in for a world of hurt. And supposedly this is a "hurrah" for Obama's post-Republican way of governing. Let's just hope they continue with the same reliable, successful "Chill the fuck out - I got this" gravitas and directive.

AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC! AIPAC!
Did I mention AIPAC?
By the way and how soon we forget the fact that the republicans elected Kissin Joe not the democrats who rejected him during the CT primaries!
Joe baby will be a direct feed to the republican obsructionists in the senate. Count on it!

Here's my happy thought: Perhaps the Dept of Homeland Security is going to be dismantled and otherwise rearranged. No department, no committee, no chair, no Lieberman.

"joe the weasil" will lead the charge with Obama investigations. You can bank on it. It will probably be about some shit left over from the shrub administration, (torture, wiretapping, etc) that Obama will overlook (or think he can get away with) when scrubbing down the whitehouse.
there's just so much shit there that somethings bound to get left in the nooks and crannies. The repubs will spot it, raise holy hell about it and "joe the weasil" will say it's his patriotic duty to investigate it.
I sent a nasty letter to my man in Illinois "dick the softy" for standing behind him. I told him he can go down with him come election time.

After recovering from feeling as if I had beeen kicked in the teeth, at the news of L's political/personal victory (I can't stomach to even write his name), I have resolved to put this behind me and look forward.
Why?...
1 BHO told us there would have to be sacrifices if we are to get out of this mess.
2 BHO clearly signaled to the Senate that he wanted L to remain in his position. (I have NO idea why but obviously BHO does so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt)
3 Putting this behind me and looking forward will be my first personal sacrifice.(what a bitter pill!)
I hope all my sacrifices won't be this difficult but then no one said this was going to be easy.

I think it is a lovely thing to hold over his head and keep him in line.
Like a choke collar for the bad lil doggie....
