Bush Plays the Coalition Card Again
He loves that word, doesn't he? That's because he refuses to accept total responsibility for something that even whiffs of liberalism and real compassion. So he's forming a coalition of...tsunami help.
Even worse, his big earth-shattering words which finally broke his awkward silence were - um - also awkward. "We will prevail"? We? What the hell is he talking about? This isn't about us. This isn't about you. It's about THEM. You know - the souls who are THERE.
The man is clearly brain damaged.
Bush says nations forming relief coalition
CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) — President Bush announced Wednesday the United States, India, Australia and Japan have formed an international coalition to coordinate worldwide relief and reconstruction efforts for the Asian region ravaged by a deadly earthquake and tsunamis.
"We will prevail over this destruction," Bush said from his Texas ranch in his first comments on the disaster Sunday that so far has killed more than 76,000.
Bush said the disaster had "brought loss and grief to the world that is beyond our comprehension" and he pledged a multifaceted response from the United States that goes far beyond the $35 million initially pledged.
Hey, little man. Hate to break up your brush-clearing vacation (again) - but the world is calling (again). Maybe this is big enough for you to dispense with the "prevail" talk, get off your ass, get on Air Force One (addendum: load it up with supplies), and lend a shoulder to these people. Make us proud for once in your useless life.
Or are you waiting for another "surprise" photo op press junket to Indonesia with Fox News in the middle of the night?
Looks like we finally found the limitations of Karl Rove's imagination.

Sounds like he's fixin' to lock up this guy "Soon Namee" and his bunch of evil doers in Gitmo for a decade or two.

"brought loss and grief to the world that is beyond our comprehension"
...but it's about as many as he's killed in Iraq.

He is an embarrassment but I don't think it a good idea for him to take AF1 overthere. They need planes to be able to land and unload supplies. They sure don't need the entourage that accompanies Bush everywhere.
I heard we still have not met our pledge to Iran for the earthquake in Bam from a year ago this Dec. 26th? Why is not more said and updated about that?

"I now declare this tsunami and all other sleeper tsunami cells to be part of the axis of evil"

I'll admit here publicly that I was in error when I predicted, pre-election, that we'd never hear of Bush clearing brush again. I didn't figure him for real work then, or think he'd care for the photo-op post-election.
That being said, the neocons should nail his ass to a cross already.

Bush will visit south asia as soon as they sign a loyalty oath.

Bush cannot afford more than 15 or 35 million, he needs all the money he can muster to kill people in Iraq and get more tax cuts for the rich.

Hundreds of thousands dead from the tsunami and Boy George is clearing brush? A perfect opportunity to show the world what he is made of and he pisses himself. Exactly like when he is told that two planes have crashed into the twin towers. 7 minutes later he quivers into action, then spends 20 minutes at a photo op.

I've wavered between him being a moron or just plain stupid; however, the answer may be that he's merely ordinary with medical issues. C.L. Hoffman (http://sf.indymedia.org/news/2004/12/1707988.php)did some research and has posted photos and the full info on both his condition and the meds he's taking. All of which has been kept top secret from the American public.
Frankly, I don't think that it's particularly important that he show his jibbering face in public (guess his speech writer isn't visiting the ranch). At least he got the DoD to send six ships with disaster relief equipment, started the funding process, and oh yeah, is sending brother Jebbie along.
See folks, Jebbie is the heir apparant in this political dynasty for the NEXT presidential election. Has to have more public exposure than Florida can provide. Or, if I were a betting type of person, I'd say that Jebbie gets the nod for either Homeland Security OR the new Intelligence Chief (nonono -- it really does require intelligence to run an Intelligence Agency).

What did anyone expect from the Boy Wonder?
How many times did he have to be bitch-slapped by the rest of the world - this time in an impossible-to-misunderstand (misunderestimate?) - what a lazy, cowardly, sociopath he really is.
Really - look what it took to get his attention. Without the negative PR - and Jesus, this was overwhelming worldwide - would he have even noticed that this happened?
And, by the way. What's all the "brush-clearing" for? Can the bitch do ANYTHING useful?
Like, if he was handed a sack of grain and shoved toward an enclosure of chickens, would Mr. Texas know what to do? Does he know what a cow is? You know that he's scared pissless by a horse close up.
Narcissistic sociopath doesn't even begin to describe this a******.

Has the question been raised more than once of how this disaster occurred ?? THe largest disaster in history of mankind.

I am not suggesting that this disaster was generated by man's activities, but...most have forgotten that U.S. nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands in the 1940s and 1950s resulted in a number of tsunami.
